Oct-Dec in Germany 2009

Greetings blog world!
It's been a long while since we updated you all. Just to do a quick run down of what you've missed. Malachi is now 16 months started walking (around 13 months) and is now running all over the place. He is still working on words but says da da, hey, yea randomly of course but I'm sure he'll be talking our ear off in no time. We are now in Ludwigsburg, Germany and our team is currently in 5 or 6 place. It just snowed here a few days ago and has also become cold. We have gone on several adventures since we arrived, Chocolate fair in Tubingen, Germany, Christmas market here, and the mall of course! Malachi even gets to play with other kids at the local fitness center day care we both work out at. He is also getting lots and lots of teeth. It seems they are all coming at once. Too many to really get a good count but looks like he'll have a full smile in no time lol.

Christmas time is right around the corner we have a few things for Malachi just need to get them raped and put under the tree. I'm still deciding what to cook for dinner. Will be something simple because I believe it will be just the three of us. We do not get a Christmas break this year but they do have a few weeks off during the All star weekend so maybe we will make it to Paris this time!

Malachi mile stones

This week it seem like Malachi accomplished several firsts. He is now saying ba ba which we think he is trying to say ma ma LOL. He also just learned to wave bye bye. His Grandma Watts waved bye bye and he waved his little hand. I was so surprised! Malachi is standing on his own for a few seconds at a time. He doesn't realize he is doing it so its pretty funny. Cruising and crawling our still two of his favorite pass times. I'm sure he'll be walking in no time! I have been showing him how to put the different shaped blocks into his cookie jar. I think its catching on because his grandma saw him trying to put one in by his self for about 10 minutes lol. We also took Malachi to a friend of ours sons birthday party at a park. He once again surprised us when he scooted so that he could go down the slide all by his self. Over all it has been a very eventful week for Malachi development.

Malachi's First Birthday Bash

Malachi first birthday theme was Little Einsteins. We had to order just about all the decorations for the party online. But, that was ok because you only have your first birthday once! Malachi even had a special T shirt ordered to wear on his big day. The party was supposed to be at a park down the street from our mothers house however, good ol Utah weather had its own plans. Luckily our cousin allowed us to move the party to her place. We rushed over set everything up and text the guest to let them know the new location. We ordered subway sandwiches, chips, drinks, and cupcakes that had pictures of the Little Einsteins and Happy Birthday Malachi! He even had his own special Quincy(from the Little Einsteins) cake. Malachi was crawling all over the place and didn't want to any one to stop him from his fun. We did get him to sit down and open a few gifts and then tried to get him to try some of his cake. He didn't want to even taste it but did make a big mess! Overall it was a successful Party.
